At Alpha Delta Pi, our four core values—sisterhood, service, scholarship, and leadership—are at the heart of everything we do. These values guide our chapter and shape the way we support one another, grow as individuals, and give back to our community. Every sister in ADPi strives to live out these values in our daily life.
If you're a Potential New Member going through recruitment, it's important to reflect on what truly matters to you. Finding a chapter that aligns with your own values will help you feel at home and thrive in your sorority experience.
Let’s take a closer look at what each of ADPi’s core values means to us, and how we bring them to life within our sisterhood.
Sisterhood
"To me, sisterhood is the community of love, support, and encouragement that I feel every day in ADPi. Zeta Omega upholds this value by creating genuine bonds that last and make us the best versions of ourselves!" - Ella Lou Scott, Sisterhood Program Specialist
Our first value is sisterhood, and it’s truly the heart of our chapter. In ADPi, we can be our authentic selves and form genuine, lifelong friendships. We strengthen these bonds through events like our annual Sisterhood Retreat, Big/Little Week, and fun activities throughout the year. Whether it’s a spontaneous coffee run, a late-night study session, or celebrating each other’s wins, sisterhood is always present. Through the highs and lows, we’re there for one another—and that’s what makes our sisterhood so special.
Service
"To me, service means showing up with compassion and kindness for the people who need us most. As a chapter, we live out that value by supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities—not just through fundraising, but by building real connections and making a direct impact in our community. Being able to give back together makes our sisterhood even stronger, and it’s genuinely fun! Events like Cheers for Charity and ADPickleball bring us together in such a meaningful way—they let us make a difference while also creating memories and having the best time with each other." - Richa Harmani, Director of Philanthropy
Our next value, service, is one that holds a special place in our hearts. Giving back to the Ronald McDonald House means so much to us, and we’re proud to support their mission through both fundraising and hands-on service. One of our favorite ways to make an impact is through Cheers for Charity, our spring philanthropy event, where chapters across Greek life come together to perform cheer routines and raise funds. Last year, we were thrilled to raise nearly $50,000 for the Ronald McDonald House!
Scholarship
"Our chapter promotes an environment of academic excellence, accountability, and support in order to prioritize and uphold the value of scholarship. To ADPi, scholarship means more than grades, it represents our dedication to continuous learning, personal development, and supporting one another. We establish a place where each sister can succeed through study sessions, tutoring, and awarding weekly smarty pi’s." - Molly Beer, Director of Academic Affairs
At ADPi, scholarship is one of our top priorities. Last fall, we were proud to have the #1 Panhellenic chapter GPA, a reflection of how dedicated our sisters are to academic success. We constantly encourage one another to reach our goals and celebrate each other’s achievements. One of our favorite traditions is the weekly “Smarty Pi” award, where sisters can nominate each other for studying hard, acing an exam, or going above and beyond on a project, with a gift card prize as a fun reward!
Leadership
"To me, leadership in ADPi means leading from the heart, not above others, but alongside them. Every sister leaves her mark on our chapter, whether by holding a position or simply showing up with kindness. Leadership takes many forms, and being part of this sisterhood has helped me grow in more ways than I ever imagined. I’ll carry those lessons and skills with me into the future." - Grace McCaw, Vice President of Operations
Our final core value is leadership, and it’s one we are especially proud to uphold. At ADPi, we strive to empower every sister to grow into a confident, capable leader with skills that will serve us well far beyond our college years. With over 30 officer and chair positions in our chapter, there’s a leadership opportunity for everyone. Whether you're creative and want to serve as Banner Chair, or you're detail-oriented and interested in becoming Vice President of Finance, there’s a role that fits your passions and schedule. Beyond our chapter, our sisters lead across campus in student government, academic organizations, and even on the homecoming court, like our very own Elle Koch, who was crowned Homecoming Queen last year!
