ADPi Interns at Work

In celebration of National Internship Day, we'd like to take a quick moment to honor our sisters who have been hard at work over this summer. The experiences our sisters gain through internships not only prepare them for life after graduation but also reflect the values of scholarship, leadership, and service that define our chapter.
Through internships across a variety of industries, our sisters are applying what they've learned at UCF, developing professional skills, and taking meaningful steps toward their future careers.
Join us in highlighting these outstanding sisters as they share their internship experiences and the lessons they've learned. Congratulations to all of our featured interns and we can't wait to see where your journeys take you next!

Maddie Lawniczek
Digital Analytics Intern at Universal Destinations & Experiences
Hi! My name is Maddie, and I am currently interning with Universal Orlando Resort as a Digital Analytics Intern this summer. As a Digital Analytics Intern, I analyze website performance data, create stakeholder-facing reports, and uncover insights that support data-driven business decisions. My experience at Universal has been nothing short of amazing. I have already had the opportunity to learn so much about digital analytics, data storytelling, and how to effectively collaborate with stakeholders in a professional environment. Every day has provided a new opportunity to grow both personally and professionally, and I am incredibly grateful for the experiences, mentorship, and learning opportunities I've gained throughout my internship.

Ella Dinkel
Veterinary Intern at McGregor Boulevard Veterinary Clinic
This summer, I began as a veterinary intern at McGregor Boulevard Veterinary Clinic in Fort Myers, Florida, where I gained hands-on experience in small animal medicine. Throughout my internship, I developed clinical skills including blood draws, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, dental procedures, laboratory diagnostics, and client communication. I also had the opportunity to observe a wide variety of surgeries, including advanced orthopedic procedures performed by a visiting veterinary orthopedic surgeon. Working alongside an incredible team of veterinarians and technicians has strengthened my confidence, expanded my clinical knowledge, and reinforced my passion for pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. During my internship, I was offered a position as a veterinary technician at the clinic, where I continue to develop my skills while preparing to apply to veterinary school.

Richa Harmani
Contracts Intern at Xlerate Solutions
I’m spending the summer in Washington, D.C. as an intern with Xcelerate, and it’s honestly been one of the best experiences I’ve had! I’ve learned so much about government contracting, federal regulations, and the work that goes on behind the scenes to support federal agencies. It’s been such a cool opportunity to grow professionally, meet amazing people, and get a glimpse into a field I’m really interested in as I pursue law. I’m so grateful for this experience!

Kaylie Pittaro
Physician Shadowing Student
This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to shadow physicians at a hospital in Venice Italy where I rotated through the Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, and Orthopedic departments! I am so grateful for the chance to learn from physicians in a completely different healthcare system and observe the unique ways they cared for their patients. Every day brought new experiences from watching surgeries and emergency cases to seeing how differently providers approached clinical decisions. Being immersed in an international hospital setting allowed me to learn a new approach to medicine. This experience gave me so many lessons and experiences I will take with me for the rest of my life. It has better prepared me for medicine and taught me another way to approach and care for patients while also making me even more excited for my future in medicine!

Camille O'Connor
Sales Intern at Gartner
Hi! My name is Camille O’Connor, and I am currently interning with Gartner as a Sales Intern supporting the teams serving midsize enterprises this summer. In my role, I partner with Account Executives to research prospective clients, generate qualified opportunities, and develop a deeper understanding of the challenges IT leaders face. My experience at Gartner has been incredibly rewarding. I have had the opportunity to strengthen my sales skills, learn how to communicate value to C-level leaders, and gain firsthand exposure to the world of B2B technology sales. Every day has challenged me to grow professionally through coaching, collaboration, and hands-on experience, and I am grateful for the mentorship, learning opportunities, and relationships I've built throughout my internship!

Abbey Chucran
Food & Beverage Intern at Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin
My internship at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin gave me hands-on experience across nearly every area of food and beverage operations. I worked with teams in stewarding, restaurants, catering, and convention services, gaining a well-rounded understanding of how each department contributes to the guest experience. I also stepped into a manager role at both a casual outlet and a fine dining steakhouse, building confidence leading in two very different environments.
My favorite experience was working with Catering and Convention Services, where I helped execute a multi-day conference, including a private Nick Jonas concert. Throughout the internship, I completed training in tableside wine service, learned to prepare classic dishes from scratch, and participated in a Level One Sommelier class. For my final project, I developed marketing strategies and event concepts to increase private dining sales across the resort's restaurants. Presenting my ideas to the executive leadership team was one of the most rewarding parts of the experience. Overall, this internship pushed me outside of my comfort zone and reinforced that I want to build my career in the events and hospitality industry.

Hayley Breyfogle
Equine Hospital Intern
This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to intern at an equine hospital, where I gained hands-on experience in emergency medicine, critical care, and equine reproduction. I learned how to administer medications and injections, monitor hospitalized patients, assist with surgeries and reproductive procedures, and care for mares and foals. Being on call and taking on increasing responsibility helped me build confidence, strengthen my clinical skills, and confirm my passion for equine veterinary medicine. I am incredibly grateful for this experience and all of the knowledge and opportunities it has given me as I continue working toward my goal of becoming an equine veterinarian.
