April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and our chapter would like to take a moment to thank and highlight three of our many amazing volunteer advisors. We’re so lucky to have their guidance and support as they continue to show their love and commitment to ADPi as dedicated alumnae.
Jess Malberti - Executive Chapter Advisor
"Volunteering as an ADPi advisor is so important to me because it allows me to give back to a sisterhood that has shaped so much who I am today. I want to make sure that the women of Zeta Omega feel supported during such a pivotal time in their lives—offering guidance, encouragement, and perspective from someone who has been in their shoes. Having had many inspiring female mentors in my life—several who I found through ADPi…I believe in the power of mentorship and helping the women of this chapter grow personally and professionally has been incredibly rewarding. Our sisterhood goes beyond our years as a collegiate, it’s about empowering the next generation to create their own meaningful experiences and lasting impact on their community. My very best friends today are the women that I met during my time in ADPi.
When I was in the chapter, I held a variety of leadership positions. I painted banners and help set up events, co-chaired Homecoming, was a Rho Gamma, and served on exec as Recruitment and Marketing Vice President. My time in ADPi taught me that people don’t just join organizations—they join people. As an active member and now as a volunteer, it has always been my goal to make our sisterhood as welcoming as possible not only to our own members but also the larger community. Currently, I work as the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. My team manages website, email, and other digital initiatives. So much of what has helped me be successful in my career has come from skills I have learned while in ADPi. Communication, confidence, organization, and fostering genuine connections have been key for my career growth.
When I’m not working and volunteering with ADPi, you can find me going to shows at the Dr. Phillips Center, hanging outside with my husband and two dogs, reading 3 books at a time (I’m that person), doing home renovation projects and taking care of my butterfly garden. Being part of this sisterhood is has been a privilege that I am so incredibly grateful for. I’m excited to see where our members take Zeta Omega next."
Loyally,
Jess
Michelle Mendez - Chapter Finance Advisor
"I'm truly honored to be spotlighted during Volunteer Appreciation Month. Giving back to a chapter that meant so much to me has been incredibly fulfilling. Serving as an advisor has allowed me to stay connected to the values of sisterhood, service, and growth that shaped my college experience.
When I was in the chapter, I was always the one behind the scenes helping craft the magic moments, whether it was decorating for Bid Day, pulling together last-minute crafts, or cheering on sisters during intramural sports. I’ve always believed that it’s the little details that create lifelong memories, and I loved being part of those behind-the-scenes moments.
Today, I work as an Account Manager for Arch Mortgage Insurance, the largest private mortgage insurer in the world. I get to use my creativity and relationship-building skills every day. ADPi helped lay the foundation for the career I have now—one rooted in connection, confidence, and community.
Some of my favorites? A good playlist, pilates, strong coffee, and a planner full of color-coded tasks.
Grateful to still be part of this incredible sisterhood—and so excited to keep watching Golden Lion women shine!"
Loyally,
Michelle Mendez
Brittney Cunningham - Chapter Recruitment Advisor
"Getting to give back to a sisterhood that has shaped me into the woman I am today makes me feel like my years as a Delta were just the start of my ADPi journey. I love getting to serve the ladies of Zeta Omega as an advisor and help be a mentor like so many ADPi women were for me.
When I joined ADPi at the University of North Florida I took advantage of every opportunity I could. I held a variety of leadership positions as a Pride Leader and Archivist, was a Panhellenic Rho Gamma, and even took a road trip to headquarters. While my greek life experience was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, that time made my chapter cling to each other the most. The sisters I met in my chapter have become some of the closest people in my life, with many I have stood beside on their wedding day as they will mine. ADPi not only bought me my forever friends but also a passion for philanthropy work which lead me into my career today. Currently, I work as the Senior Associate Director of Annual Giving and Young Alumni at Stetson University. In my various roles at Stetson, I have been able to educate students on the importance of philanthropy and this all start by learning about philanthropy through my time in ADPi. My career has also given me the opportunity to continue my work with ADPi through the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation as a member of their Advisory Council.
Outside of work and volunteering with ADPi, you will find me listening to a good podcast, spending time at the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse or with close friends, binge watching a new favorite show on the couch with my boyfriend and our two cats, or planning out my next vacation or weekend getaway.
Our sisterhood has given me so much, and I love being able to give back so other girls can have the same experiences I had."
Loyally,
Brittney
